Van Quach therapist
My approach is client-centred, supportive, non-judgemental and empathic. I believe that therapy should be collaborative and will strive to work with clients to ensure that their goals and needs are being met. I provide a safe and inclusive environment and appreciate that each individual has a unique story, perspective and experience. My work with clients may focus on a single therapeutic modality or may draw upon different modalities to meet their diverse needs. I have experience working with individuals struggling with a range of mental health challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, borderline personality disorder, impulsive behaviours and difficulty regulating emotions.
I have a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, and am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have completed trainings in different therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Brief Solution-focused/Single Session Therapy. I have worked as a social worker in various settings and have provided individual and group therapy including facilitation of a DBT skills group.
