Robin Schulman

Robin Schulman, MSW, RSW

Style & Approach:

Hi, my name is Robin Schulman and I would be honoured to work with you. My goal in psychotherapy is to create a safe space for you to express yourself openly, feel heard, be gently challenged, and ultimately feel able to make positive changes. I will work collaboratively with you to help you move forward if you are feeling stuck. I will encourage you to reflect deeply into your own behaviours, thought patterns, and beliefs. My hope is always to empower, and help you guide yourself towards a more meaningful and insightful life experience.

My approach is non-judgemental, strengths-based, and client centred. This means that my clients are always the expert in their own experience, and I tailor my approach to fit the needs and goals of each client. I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, however I do not use a one-size fits all approach. I strive to challenge, motivate and inspire you while maintaining empathy, warmth, and compassion. I use a holistic approach from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed framework with adults, adolescents, families and couples.

I work with people facing life challenges and mental health issues including: anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, OCD, perfectionism, chronic health issues, relationship issues, addictions, and low self-esteem.

Qualifications:

I am a Registered Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto, specializing in health and mental health. I have additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.Nicolette Julien
