Style & Approach:
My primary goal as a therapist is to create a safe space for my clients. In the beginning stages of our therapeutic relationship, I strive to learn and understand who you are and where you’re coming from in order to better define your goals and aspirations together. I see my work with my clients as a collaborative process in which I encourage you to focus on your own strengths and abilities. My approach incorporates modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and a strengths-based approach. Continuing the therapeutic process together involves learning to tap into your own hidden resources and utilizing them for growth as well as uncovering potential roadblocks that are holding you back.
I have a Masters of Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University and am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have invested time in honing my skills, receiving further training in modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, and trauma focused therapy.
