Style & Approach:
Within a safe, comfortable and non-judgemental environment, I help individuals to explore their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self to overcome unconscious rules that control their everyday behaviour. I have spent the last decade improving my techniques in working with individuals with severe trauma by learning the impact the brain has on behaviour and the mind body connection. My belief is to take a holistic approach to recovery and minimize the use of medication wherever possible. I help people to discover the power and innate ability inside themselves to heal.
I have worked for the past 15 years in building relationships with adults and adolesncents who have gone through trauma, and have dedicated my career to my passion of helping people to overcome their trauma. To support this work, I am trained in various modalities, including CPT, CBT and DBT, and teach them on a regular basis.
I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Additionally, I have a certificate in neurorehabilitation from Brock University and a certificate in Cognitive-Processing Therapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists.
